Sustainable Easter Gift Boxes: How to delight your team while caring for the planet
Sustainable Easter Gift Boxes: How to delight your team while caring for the planet

Easter’s hopping toward us, bringing with it the first signs of spring and the perfect opportunity to connect with your team. But let’s face it – another box of chocolate eggs might not have the impact you’re hoping for.

We believe in spreading the love with gifts that matter. Gifts that make your team feel valued and appreciated while also reflecting your company’s commitment to sustainability. That’s why our team have pulled together this guide to creating sustainable Easter gift boxes that your team will treasure long after the Easter bunny has hopped away.

Why choose sustainable Easter gifts?

Traditional Easter gifts often come with excess packaging, single-use plastics, and items that quickly end up in the bin. By opting for sustainable alternatives, you’re not just giving a gift – you’re making a statement about your company’s values.

Eco-friendly gift boxes are appreciated on multiple levels:

  • They show genuine care for recipients
  • They demonstrate your company’s commitment to sustainability
  • They create lasting positive impressions rather than fleeting moments

What makes an Easter gift box sustainable?

A truly sustainable Easter gift box considers every element:

  • Materials – Made from recycled, recyclable, or biodegradable components
  • Longevity – Contains items that will be used again and again, not thrown away
  • Purpose – Every item serves a genuine function for the recipient
  • Production – Created with ethical manufacturing processes
  • Packaging – Minimises waste while still looking beautiful

Our favourite egg-cellent sustainable Easter gift ideas

Grow-Your-Own Kits
Spring is the perfect time for planting. Branded seed packets, small planters, or complete grow kits are perfect additions to Easter boxes. They symbolise growth and new beginnings while giving your team something to nurture.

Wildflower seed bombs make a lovely addition to Easter packs – each bloom serving as a reminder of your company while supporting local pollinators.

Reusable Spring Essentials
As the weather improves, your team will appreciate items they can use for outdoor activities:

  • Branded reusable water bottles in spring colours
  • Sustainable bamboo lunch boxes for outdoor picnics
  • Eco-friendly canvas totes for market trips
  • Collapsible coffee cups for morning walks

Mindful Moments
Easter can be a time for reflection and mindfulness. Consider including:

  • Sustainable journals made from recycled paper
  • Plantable pencils that grow into herbs when they’re too short to use
  • Small indoor plants in biodegradable pots
  • Ethical tea selections with a branded reusable tea infuser

Ethical Treats
We’re not suggesting you abandon the chocolate tradition entirely! Just choose options that align with your sustainable values:

  • Fair-trade, plastic-free chocolate
  • Locally-made treats in recyclable packaging
  • Small-batch, artisanal goodies from ethical producers

How to make your Easter gift box hop off the shelf

Our boxes of happiness can have substantial impacts for your team and company:

  • Recipients use high-quality sustainable items multiple times
  • Employee engagement often sees a measurable boost
  • Your company can significantly reduce plastic waste compared to traditional gifts
  • Team members frequently share their unique gifts on social media, increasing brand visibility

Even with sustainable items, presentation matters. Here’s how to make your Easter boxes special:

  • Tell the story – Include a card explaining the sustainable elements and why they were chosen
  • Personalise where possible – Add team members’ names or personal touches
  • Create an egg-citing unboxing experience – Design a moment of joy when the box is opened
  • Use spring colours – Incorporate seasonally appropriate colours that align with your brand
  • Make it Instagram-worthy – Beautiful presentation encourages social sharing and spreads more smiles

Stand-out at exhibitions: Making your brand unforgettable
Stand-out at exhibitions: Making your brand unforgettable

Your exhibition space is where your brand comes to life – that magical spot where you meet potential clients face-to-face and show them what you’re really about. Creating an exhibition stand that people remember takes some thought and a sprinkle of creativity.

We’ve helped brands stand out at trade shows with perfectly curated merchandise that leaves lasting impressions. We’ve found that the best exhibition displays don’t just catch the eye – they build connections that continue long after the event.

Know Your Goals: Why You’re There in the First Place

Before you do anything else, figure out what you want to achieve. Are you aiming to generate leads, boost brand awareness, or launch a new product? Clear goals will shape your stand’s design and swag selection, so every element pulls its weight.

Visual Impact: Catching the Eye

Let’s be honest – exhibition halls are chaotic. Your space needs to grab attention from across the room. Go for a look that’s bold but still feels like you, with colours and messaging that people instantly connect to your brand. And don’t underestimate the power of well-placed swag to draw curious visitors over for a chat.

Choosing Quality Merchandise

Here’s the thing about exhibition swag – one brilliant item that people use beats a bagful of forgettable stuff every time. We’ve all been to those exhibitions where we’re handed loads of plastic tat that end up in the bin. Instead, choose thoughtful, practical products that people will genuinely want to keep.

Maximising Functionality

A great-looking stand still needs to work for you. Think about what you’ll be doing there. Will you be showing off products, having quiet conversations or running demos? Make sure your layout makes sense for what you need to achieve and gives visitors (and your team) enough space to move around comfortably.

Integrating Technology

The right tech can take your exhibition stand from good to brilliant. Whether it’s eye-catching displays or interactive experiences, technology creates memorable moments. Just make sure you’ve sorted the boring but essential stuff like power and wifi beforehand – tech is only impressive when it works!

Sustainability Matters

More and more people (both businesses and individuals) care about reducing waste. Choosing eco-friendly merchandise and stand materials isn’t just good for the planet – it shows visitors you’re thinking beyond the next sale. Plus, sustainable options have come a long way, with some of the most stylish and practical items now being the greenest too.

The Swagpack Difference for Exhibitions

We’re not just another swag company. Our approach combines creative thinking with environmental responsibility to help you stand out while still reflecting on what you value:

  • We hunt down the most interesting branded merchandise (no generic pens here!)
  • We create packaging that makes people say “wow” when they open it
  • We can ship your swag anywhere in the world (or directly to your event)
  • We take time to understand your brand before suggesting anything
  • We focus on quality items people will keep and use

The result is branded merchandise that leaves a genuine impression and supports what your brand is all about. Our team helps create exhibition experiences that draw crowds and stick in people’s minds long after they’ve left.

Branded Merchandise That Works

After years of helping brands with their exhibition swag, we’ve seen what works. Here are some proven winners:

  • Water bottles or coffee cups that people use daily
  • Notebooks that don’t fall apart after two uses
  • Tote bags
  • Tech accessories
  • Clever packable items that solve everyday problems
  • Quality pens
  • Unique items that relate specifically to what you do

But this is just scratching the surface. We’ve got tons more ideas up our sleeves and love nothing more than finding the perfect items for your specific audience. Whether you’re targeting tech CEOs or creative freelancers, we know what will make them stop, smile, and remember you.

A day in the life: Franki Smith, Account Manager
A day in the life: Franki Smith, Account Manager

Meet Franki Smith, Account Manager at Swagpack. With a marketing and content creation background, Franki brings her creative flair and client consultation skills to our team while balancing life as a mum of two.

What does an average day look like for you?

My average day involves consulting with clients – I have a couple who require quite bespoke items, so I spend a lot of time sourcing supplies that fit their ethos and products.

I’m often in consultation with the rest of the team about different projects we’ve got going on, sharing ideas for other things they’re doing. I’m currently studying for my PRINCE2 in Project Management, so if I get a bit of spare time, I set myself away in a quiet corner or put my earbuds in to focus on some revision.

My background is in marketing and content creation, so I often get involved with helping put concepts together when I have time in the day.

Can you tell us about balancing work and family life?

I have two boys – a five-year-old and a two-and-a-half-year-old. I work five days a week, fitting everything around school and nursery drop-offs and pick-ups. The workday starts long before office hours, often being woken up at 5am or 6am by energetic little ones. It might be a part-time job, but it’s not a part-time day!

What do you enjoy most about your role as an Account Manager at Swagpack?

I enjoy client consultation – I like having those calls where they say “I’ve got this idea, what can we do?” and I can bring ideas to the table.

I like to do the background work first – what kind of company are they? Is sustainability a focus? This helps me go into meetings prepared. I enjoy that kind of investigative consultation.

I also love it when a project finishes and it’s gone well. And as cheesy as it sounds, I love the team here. We’re a friendly bunch of people, making the day much better.

What inspires you about branding and creative solutions?

I love creativity. I’ve always been interested in art, design and storytelling. For me, the storytelling behind graphic design and branding is fascinating.

In my previous role at another creative design agency, we got involved in messaging and pulling that through to branding. I enjoyed working with clients who had an idea and design but needed help aligning them with their brand. That cohesive exercise of bringing everything together is most interesting.

What has been your favourite project to work on?

I worked with Deliveroo during a Black Tech Launch for Black History Month, celebrating different tech businesses run by black owners.

My client wanted products for the event focusing on wellness, wellbeing, and giving back to employees. We had bespoke Roo head plushies made – little cushions that looked like the Deliveroo Roo head – for about 100-150 employees as a thank you.

This particular project stands out because not only was it a new concept for me and my client, but also because we made it work in the very short turnaround time we had. I’m an avid planner and prefer to add buffer time into my orders – this was a TIGHT one! But we delivered and they loved them. We also did merchandise when they sponsored the UK Caribbean Food Awards in December. Seeing that side of Deliveroo – the smaller things they’re doing in different communities – was really refreshing.

Can you share a challenging project or problem you tackled in your role?

My colleague Ana and I had a situation with a product being shipped from China with a strict deadline. We ordered it four months in advance, but instead of the expected three-week delivery time, it took two months to reach us.

For about five weeks, we constantly watched the tracker and updated the client: “It’s in Russia… It’s in Latvia… It’s in Poland… It’s on the truck…” This was for Advent Calendars, which needed to be with the client by mid-October.

When it became clear that the shipment wouldn’t arrive in time, we sourced extra products at cost to ensure the project could go ahead. I’ve never taken anything so personally! I remember thinking, “If I could drive to Latvia, put this stuff in my car, and come back, I would!”

All you can do in these situations is be honest with the client and give them as much information as possible. Thankfully, they understood, and we sorted everything out in the end. Thankfully, we still work closely together because they valued our honesty and endeavours to correct the situation; we just supplied four global markets with new products and have two very exciting projects lined up for the end of 2025.

What do you get up to outside of work?

My husband owns a gym and has done for over a decade, and I coach there as well. If I’m not at Swagpack, I work a couple of hours in the gym and train there myself.

I coach body conditioning sessions using different styles, including cardio and strength-based methods. In my heyday, I was a competitive, strong woman and did stage competitions and weightlifting. I use all that experience to coach others now.

Naomi House And Jacksplace Gardening Day
Naomi House And Jacksplace Gardening Day
On 27th October, five members of the SwagPack team visited and volunteered their time towards the garden duties at Naomi House & Jacksplace 🍃🍁 Geared up with gloves, rakes and wheelbarrows for a morning start (which soon then swept into the afternoon) the teams main tasks included leaf blowing and leaf sweeping/collecting around the hospices main outdoor areas and also their car parks, tidying up the autumnal leaves that had fallen from the surrounding trees. We were also taken on a very special tour of the hospices, seeing the many areas of the buildings where the specialist care is provided. Our thanks to Connor Phillips for organising this, it was so incredibly touching to see some of our ongoing fundraising for this incredible charity in action. For anyone who doesn’t know, Naomi House & Jacksplace provide individualised care and much needed respite and support for life limited and life threatened children, young adults and the whole family, on the good days, difficult days and last days. This care continues for as long as a family needs. We look forward to future activities, we will be glad to support in 2024.

Favourite podcast? I only listen to podcasts when going on a long walk as it is a good distraction, however I usually go for the diary of a CEO with Steven Bartlett – it can be very interesting as it can be celebs all the way to scientists and doctors talking. Best series to binge watch? Grey’s Anatomy – as soon as I watched the first episode I was hooked and it is probably the only series I have stuck to, I love the rush and fast pace of the episodes. What is on the top of your bucket list? I do have 2 extremes, it’s hard to pick one – Go to the Maldives to completely relax and have a luxury experience. And to go to New York around Christmas time for sightseeing and shopping! Do you have a mantra or motto? Everything happens for a reason.
